ENGLISH LITERARY ASSOCIATION

Kalmunai Wesley High School boasts a rich history as an English - medium school since 1883. However, in 1929, the school became a Tamil school teaching English as an optional subject. Despite this shift away from English – medium instruction, Wesley High School continued to shine in producing students with proficiency in the English Language. Over the years, the school has achieved remarkable success in various areas, including speech, drama, and poem recitation.

The English Literary Association was established to enhance further activities related to the English Language. It organizes an annual English Festival at the school. The students participate in the English Day and Drama competitions, which extend from the Divisional Level to the National Level. The English Literary Association holds vast potential for development, and we get ahead cultivating even greater achievements in the future.
