School student parliament - 2026

The School Student Parliament Election for the academic year 2026 was successfully conducted on May 21st, 2026. A total of 138 enthusiastic candidates contested across all grade levels, demonstrating exemplary leadership and democratic spirit. Following a competitive voting process, the student community elected their representatives from both the Junior and Senior categories.
Out of 42 contestants from Grades 6 to 9, 40 candidates were successfully elected, Out of 96 contestants from Grade 10 to 13 , 80 candidates were successfully elected.
Following the conclusion of the election, the newly formed School Student Parliament has officially appointed its leadership team to guide our student body forward. The administration is proud to announce the appointment of one Speaker, one Vice Speaker, and ten Cabinet Ministers, who will lead a dedicated assembly of Members of Parliament. Congratulations to all the newly elected representatives! We wish the new Student Parliament a highly successful and impactful term in office.

The vibrant spirit of cultural unity and joy came alive at Wesley High School as the Special Needs Education Unit successfully organized the annual Sinhala – Tamil New Year Celebrations - 2026. Held on the 30th of April 2026, the event aimed to foster inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and provide a beautiful platform for the talented students of the unit to showcase their spirit and participate in traditional festivities.
